In this concept, I was trying to illustrate rhythm and pattern by repeating the circles and pattern. The circles decrease in size and create a wave motion. |
In this concept, I was trying to illustrate rhythm and radial movement. The two vertical planes and the rib planes all meet it the middle and radial outwards, creating a center. |
Contrast, by having sharp and hard defined lines that penetrate the fluid motion of the curves. |
Emphasis, each shape and plane draw your attention up and to the middle of the model. |
Chaos while unified, the planes seem to be falling but they are kept upright by leaning on each other. |
Rhythm, by providing spaces defined by curve, there is a clear path highlighted by the waves. |
emphasis, here the linear spaces is highlighted, by trying to minimize the vertical planes |
This model depicts unity. In the center is the nucleus and all of the limbs depend on it for survival. |
Unity, the center cylinder support the arms which supports the encasing. One component is depended on the other for survival. |
Contrast and unity, the different shapes and materials create contrast. But each shape is depending on another for stability. |
Cluster, the different shapes and sizes are all leaning on each other and form voids and solid. |
This concept mode illustrating contrast. The exterior most planes are curved and give a sense of motion, while the interior are sharp lines that provide a sense of penetrating the curve plane |
Rhythm and pattern, here the simple shape of a rectangle is repeated both horizontally and vertically, creating a sense of rhythm. |
Chaos, here the horizontal curves crash into the vertical curving wall, giving a sense of waves crashing into a shore. |
Balance and unity, each volume is a replica of the other and give a sense of interacting with one another. |
Excellent.
ReplyDeleteGreat models, what materials did you use?
